AIRES 2.8.0 or higher needs to be properly installed in
your system before attempting to
install MaGICS.
Downloading
MaGICS is distributed in a single compressed (gzip) tar file. You
must download the file into your system, decompress and tar expand it.
This can be done in any place, but we recommend to do it within a
"modules" directory that you can specially create for this purpose,
preferently within the AIRES main directory (for example
$HOME/aires/modules).
Installing
After completing the previous step, you will see that a directory
whose name matches the corresponding MaGICS version has been created.
Enter that directory, and follow the instructions located inside the
file read.me.
